Name: Graviton Torpedo
Manufacturer: Borg Collective
Nation of Origin: Borg Collective
First Introduced: Unknown

Developed and deployed exclusively by the Borg Collective, the Graviton Torpedo is a powerfully destructive device, but one that is very complex and difficult to make. As the name implies, it operates by utilizing graviton particles to create an artificial gravity well, causing massive fluctuations in the target's mass, with the result being the target being literally crushed from the inside. Any vessel unlucky enough to have its shields down when being hit by one of these weapons is likely not going to survive to see another day.

Due to the complex nature of this device, only the Borg have managed to put them to any general usage, unfortunately for the rest of the galaxy. Various Alpha Quadrant powers such as the Federation, the Romulans, and the Cardassians have attempted to produce their own versions, but their efforts have mostly proven fruitless.

The Federation is the only one to have made some progress, having made a tiny number of prototypes, but these experimental versions are bulky, complex, inefficient, and ungodly expensive to make. As of now, Graviton Torpedoes are relegated to a theoretical status as far as Starfleet is concerned.
...I wonder, does anyone even read these?:bored:

Anyways, the (very belated and probably forgotten about) next entry to the Trek Weapons and Technology Dossiers: the Graviton Torpedo. Been a long time since the last one.

Admittedly, the Graviton Torpedo was never really actually mentioned by name in any the TV series, nor directly associated with the Borg; the info you see here was stole-er, *borrowed*, from the Armada II mod "Fleet Operations", which you can find here [link] [link]. Good mod, and fun to play, so if you have Armada II, go download and install it.

As should be obvious by now: Star Trek and all related material is property of/copyrighted by Paramount.
